Conclusion

Wrap Up

Our design is effective as an assistive device, and has an appropriate cost. The product needing to be fully 3D printed significantly reduced the possibilities of different uses the product could have. So by allowing our product to be used with other products in the market, it opened up more possibilities and increased the practicality. It has a grip that has very rounded edges to not only allow it to fit more hand shapes, but is comfortable to hold for extended periods of time too. The product is very sturdy all the way through so it shouldn’t have any problems with it breaking or cracking. The 3rd party tools are connected by a screw to prevent them from falling out or any movement within the tip during use. The product is made from PLA plastic which is very environmentally friendly and cost effective since it is a vegetable-based plastic. The $15 price is compatible with other similar products in the market which range from around $12 to $24. The benefits definitely outweigh the costs because of the pain relief the consumer will achieve from using the product throughout their everyday life.
