This prototype hook was made to emulate the designed hook we included in the first and second designs. The two hooks used to make this prototype could be removed to simulate how a traditional clothing hook would work. We found that both applications applied significantly less strain on the hands of the user, and focused more of the force into the forearms, an area that is less likely to be affected by arthritis or similar conditions. A more slender hook was preferred while putting on most kinds of clothes. The prototype hook did have more capability to take a hanger off of a bar, but the single hook did not fail at this task.
